	OUR GROWERS •    We own and operate some of the world’s largest plantations of the precious Hibiscus sabdariffa in the lower Nile valley of the Sudan in Northern Africa. •    For decades, our nearly 1600 farmers and their families have taken pride in growing and harvesting our prized Sudanese Hibiscus in these fertile soils.
	THE CALYX •    The fleshy bright red colored bulb is carefully removed by hand from the plant and sundried to produce a hard dark crimson colored pod. •    After the dried calyces are subjected to a series of mechanical cleaning steps to remove soil and other debris, they are packed into bales ready for their journey to America.
	OUR EXTRACT     •    The dried calyces undergo a series of processing and hot water extraction steps to produce a dark red water-like liquid. •    The final steps involve ultra-filtration, polishing and concentration to produce a medium viscosity syrup possessing all the original aroma and flavor characteristic of Hibiscus sabdariffa.
